I bought this higher priced thinning shear to work on both of my dogs. I am very pleased with the effectiveness of the cut. My only disappointment is that the thumb hole is too small for my hand. Now, I am not ogre-sized, just have normal men’s hands. I find that using the shears for more than a minute or two cause a very sore spot on my thumb so I am not interested in continuing.I emailed the company from which they were bought. They replied that they did not have a thinning shear…
